Waiting for our flight
On the airplane
One of Amelia's favorite parts of vacation was when Grandma Susie would read to her at bedtime. She really was a grandma's girl. She even told Grandma "You are my favorite person in the whole world."
Swimming was her absolute favorite part of vacation. She loved Aunt Darlene's pool in her backyard. She woke me up at about 5 a.m. the first morning and asked if she could go swimming. I managed to put her off until about 8. She really is a little fish. I don't have any pictures from the Wickenburg pool but she was swimming all over the place with no life jacket. She would even jump into the deep end and swim back the side all by herself.
If this look isn't the look of pure joy, I don't know what is.
Now here is a girl who knows how to relax.
Here is Scooter, the lifeguard. Amelia was making him nervous by jumping in. He watched her like a hawk. It was pretty funny.
The nice thing about Arizona is the sunshine sure makes it easy to get some beautiful pictures. It also helps when your photography subject is so beautiful already. This is the day we spent just hanging around Wickenburg. We went to the park, the Jail Tree, the Wishing Well and out for ice cream.
I love the look on her face.
Amelia's favorite part of any day, ice cream.

We also went to the Wickenburg Historical Musuem. Amelia now thinks that Grandma Susie works in all the musuems. She really loved the old-time kitchen they had. She would have played for hours if we had let her. As it was, she baked about 4500 loaves of bread and churned 2000 batches of butter. She also liked "making" the horseshoe. She had an imaginary horse named Honey that she was taking care of, Honey even rode in the elevator with us.

Amelia and I went to visit the Little Red Schoolhouse. Unfortunately it was closed but we got to take some pretty pictures by their flowers.
We ventured down to Phoenix for the Science Musuem. Amelia really enjoyed it. Her favorite part was, of course, the play house. She loved planting the vegetable garden.
