Amelia's Thank You Note

Recently a Tale Teller came to Amelia's class room and told a story to the kids. Amelia was very impressed that "she didn't even have to use a book." The class wrote thank you notes and Patty got them in her office so she sent me Amelia's. Isn't she a good writer?

Nina's Accessories

I guess Amelia love of accessories has been passed on to Nina.

Here is her red necklace.

She loves hats, especially baseball hats.

We call her Nina One Shoe because she always insists on wearing only one shoe. She gets mad if you make her take it off to sleep.

Why Mopping Is a Waste of Time

Yes that is a package of chocolate cupcakes that Nina managed to grab off the table. Luckily there were only 2 left or it would have been much much worse.

Bison

On Sunday we went to Cripple Creek and the vote was to go to Bison for the afternoon. It was a perfect day, the weather was nice and we all had a great time. Amelia said her favorite part was rock climbing and seeing the bear tracks. Nina loved eating rocks in the horseshoe pit. To each their own, I guess.

Everybody at the top of the rocks.

Look closely and you can see James' black shirt, that will show you how far up they were.

Where we spotted the bear tracks.

Nina by the lake, much like Rammie I spent a lot of time making sure she didn't go in the water. Luckily I was more successful with Nina then Mom was with Rammie.

All the girls

Nina tried her hardest to climb the ramp and would just end up mad and stuck but Nina ends up mad and stuck a lot these days.

In the horseshoe pit

Messing with Uncle Chase, it looks like he managed to run most of the girls off though.

I love this picture, it looks like she is running just so fast.

State Fair

Last week we went to the State Fair. We ended up really having a great time, although my good time drastically improved after I chased Nina around the splash pad since it was about 400 degrees out that day. Amelia was excited to ride the big carnival rides since she was tall enough this year. Nina loved the animals, even after getting nibbled by the donkey. Now she tells you all animals say Moo and there is no convincing her otherwise.

Amelia "walking on water". She spent most of her time like this or trying to get up from being like this, there really wasn't much walking involved.

Nina's first carnival ride. She was very proud to sit there with her sister, she didn't even try to escape and dive head first in the water like I was expecting.

After the splash pad. I think I ended up the wettest because Nina was not even a little scared and was pushing the bigger kids out of her way.

Right before the donkey nibble, still the funniest part of the day in my opinion.
