An Ice Cream Treat

Today we went to BJ's for an ice cream. Amelia always gets chocolate with sprinkles, that should not surprise anyone. I just love this pictures of her, her eyes are so beautiful. The one of Nina is so red because we were sitting under the red umbrella and since Nina was right in the middle it kind of turned her red but I wanted to include her too.

Nina's First Bath

I didn't think this would go very well. The only thing Nina absolutely hates is being naked. But surprisingly she cried very little. She did pee all over my shirt while I was carrying her to the sink though, that was definetely not the highlight of bath time in my opinion.

Amelia did the scrubbing.

Riding Bikes

This week we also met our friends at the park to ride bikes and play. It was a great time although it was very hot. Nina slept the entire time until it was time to leave and then she had to eat in the car, which worked out since the car has air conditioning.

Focus on the Family

This week we were in search of fun things to do that would keep Amelia entertained and wouldn't be terribly hard for me to keep up with her. One of her favorite places in the city is the play area at Focus on the Family because she is tall enough to ride the 3 story slide.

Nina Is Here!!

I just love this one.

Amelia really is a great big sister.

Getting ready to come home.

Sisters meeting for the first time.

Nina in the hospital

We welcomed baby Nina on July 30th at 8:53 pm. She was 7 pounds 11 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. I had a very easy labor and slept through most of it. She got to come home on August 1st. We couldn't be more thrilled. Amelia is the best big sister, she is always asking to hold her or hug and kiss her. She talks to her in the sweetest little voice and tells her all kinds of things, like "this is how you laugh, hahaha." It is very sweet. Nina is a very good baby. She only cries when you get her naked. She even slept through the heel prick for her jaundice test. Of course, I have plenty more to say about her and how wonderful she is but since she never stops eating I have to go feed her again. I promise there is more to come!
