Pippi Longstocking

We like to call Amelia Pippi Longstocking because she has the same sense of style. She likes to mix and match shoes, gloves, different pattern clothes. She will always look wild if given the chance to dress herself, which she gets often since it doesn't bother me that she looks like a crazy orphan. Here are some examples of her Pippi-ness.

My winter hat while sleeping.

Two different gloves (Grandma too).

Wild leggings with an already wild dress.

2 Months

Nina is already growing faster than I would like. She is 2 months old already. She loves to smile and coo. She loves the ceiling fan and her crib mobile. She always falls asleep in the car. Nina is a pretty good sleeper, which I am very thankful for. She refuses to drink from a bottle, preferring Mommy instead. She loves to be held facing out so she can see all the things around her. She had her checkup today and weighs 10 lbs 12 oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. She is in the 85% for height, 50% for weight and 70% for head circumference. So she is tall and average with a big bobble head or in other words, perfect.

"Please quit taking my picture, Mom."

One happy baby!

One tired baby..

Sisters

Amelia really loves being a big sister. There has been very little jealousy, although it has been a bit of an adjustment not getting all the attention all the time. Amelia loves to hold Nina, she reads to her and plays with her everyday. You can see how much Nina loves Amelia, she will look around everytime she hears Amelia's voice and Nina always has smiles for Amelia. There is nothing better in the world then watch my two girls just be sisters.

Please ignore the chocolate all over Amelia's face, we are making cupcakes for Family Fun Night at her school tonight.

Amelia reads to Nina almost everday. Nina will just watch her and happily kick her feet.

Chickens

Last week we went to visit Hilary's newest additions, the chickens. Amelia was nervous at first because of all things to be scared of, she is scared of chickens. She got bit by one pretty bad at the zoo when she was about 18 months old and ever since has been scared. After a couple of minutes though she was fine.
