Ent Picnic

Every year Philip's company picnic is held at the zoo. We love going at night because the animals are much more active. Plus the pony ride, carousel, and giraffe crackers are all free. I was hoping that this combined with the rodeo earlier in the day would be enough activity to kick start my labor but no such luck. Anway, we had a great time.

By the way I have posted so many blogs today, you will have to hit older posts to see them all. There is 8 new posts total.

Riding Amiga

I love this pic because you can see how proud Amelia was to have her Daddy riding next to her.

Feeding the giraffes.

Posing with the lion.

Taking a different approach to posing with the zebra.

Posing with the elephants

Petting the baby albino wallaby.

Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo

On Saturday we went to the rodeo. Amelia's favorite event was the bullriding. She liked when the cowboys got bucked off. I liked the wild cow milking the best.

My little cowgirl. I am not sure what that face is but it is funny.

Big Sister Class

Amelia is super excited about becoming a big sister. Everyday she lists at least one things that she is going to teach the baby how to do. I thought she would enjoy going to a big sister class. They learned things like how to put on a diaper, how to swaddle and hold a baby. They also talked about being safe around the baby. Amelia even got a big sister shirt.

Diapering

She needs a little practice before the baby comes I think.

Swaddling

Holding the baby. She was very proud to tell the teacher that she has already held a baby, Baby Naomi.

What is the best part about baking?

Licking the bowl, of course.

My Little Harry Potter

Amelia got these glasses at the dollar store and will randomly wear them around the house. Every time she puts them on it just makes me laugh. She evens keeps them on her nightstand just like her Daddy.

The 4th of July

This year we went to Denver to spend the 4th with Eric, Shonie, and kids. We had a great time. Amelia loves to get to play with her cousins there, I think mainly because they do whatever activity she chooses. We spent the day outside playing golf, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, volleyball, etc... The fireworks got rained out for the most part but we still got to see a few before we got to cold and had to head home. Amelia was so tired by the time we left she fell asleep before we even hit the interstate, which is so not like her at all.

Amelia and Cecelia drawing.

This is my favorite pic of Amelia, Cecelia and David. Of course, David is a little hard to see with Amelia sitting right on his head.

The girls pretty much tortured David the whole day but I think he secretly liked the attention.

All the men played badmitton for what seemed like hours. Even the rain couldn't slow them down. Philip and Angelo were the self-proclaimed champions.

Golfing

Play Jai Alai with Cecelia

Eating roasted marshmallows. The rest of us had smores but Amelia chose to eat hers Top Chef style, deconstructed.

We took this picture just to make Grandma Patty nervous. Did it work?

Playing volleyball with Daddy.

Cattle Drive

We recently went to the cattle drive downtown for the rodeo. Amelia thought it was hilarious that the cows were walking down the street. She said they must be on vacation because cows don't belong on the street. The best part for Amelia was getting to pet the horses afterwards. There is really nothing Amelia would like better then to be a cowgirl.

Here they come.

We loved to see how the baby cows alway stuck with their mothers.

This was right after the horse was eating Amelia's hair, which she thought was great.

She was showing a girl how you have to let the horse smell your hand first.

One last big hug.

Fun with Friends

A few weeks back we met our friends downtown for a picnic and the cattle drive. We had fun playing before it started. Here are the pics from before the cattle drive.

Even though this pic is a little blurry, I love the attitude. It is definetely Amelia!

Kids and umbrellas make for such great pictures.

Funny faces.

Climbing the giant spikey ball thingy.

They were pretending the giant paperclips were an amusement park ride. This is Alessandra purchasing her ticket.
