Yesterday Amelia got her pictures taken my Geneva Morse from Lemondrop Photography. I got the greatest deal, for $20 I got a photo session at a local park plus 4 4x6 prints and a CD of pictures as well. Also, thanks to 2 of the ladies I work with taking my referral I got an 8x10 and an 8x10 picture collage. I wanted to share these pictures because they are truly amazing but Geneva Morse is the rightful owner of all of them. If anybody would like a reprint of any of these, let me know the size and which one you want, she has amazing prices and I will probably order a few more for myself.

The Dentist
Amelia had a dentist appointment today for a cleaning. This is her second time to go to the dentist. When the hygenist called her name, I asked if she wanted me to go with her and she told me "No, you just wait for me." She went back all by herself like a big girl and got her teeth cleaned. I only went back to talk to the dentist after everything was done. She doesn't have a single cavity and the dentist was impressed with her teeth. I was so proud of her today. She truly is a big girl now!

Happy Birthday Philip
Yesterday was Philip's birthday. Amelia was very excited about this. She loves birthdays and, in fact, Happy Birthday, is one of her bedtime songs that she hears EVERY NIGHT. Amelia was most excited to decorate Philip's cake. She decided he needed a baseball themed cake, which is probably an improvement over last years Diego cake. She was very proud of her creation. She was also excited to buy him a present. She got to pick out a charcoal grill and a garden gnome. So Happy Birthday Philip!

Our New Backyard
Picture if you will a barren wasteland full of weeds, now add a dog roaming freely and you have a good idea of what our backyard used to look like. Philip has been working hard for about 2 months to revamp this space. We are about 95% done and we are loving it. Amelia loves to go out there everyday and play. Today we blew bubbles and jumped on the trampoline. The other day she was playing freeze tag with the trees (who are very good a freezing but need work on the running).

I love how it is so shady, you can go out in the dead heat of the afternoon

We Are All Different
This morning Amelia and I were talking about things that are different and she said that she and Buddy were different. So I asked her what was different about them and she came up with a pretty impressive list.
- "Buddy is a boy and I am a girl"
- "Buddy has fur and I don't have any fur"
- "Buddy has a tail and I don't have a tail"
- "Buddy has a long tongue for panting and I don't"
- "Buddy poops outside and I go in the potty" and then for clarification "Buddy has never even TRIED to go in the potty like I do"
