Museum

My mother gave our family a membership to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for Christmas. Today, Amelia and I headed to Denver once again to take Grandma Susie to the airport. Afterwards, we decided to start using our museum membership. They are having a special dinosaur exhibit for another week or so. Amelia loves dinosaurs and had a great time! In fact, when it was time to leave she starting crying that she wanted to stay there. We will really get a lot of use from this present, I can already tell.

We're off to Denver

Today we headed to Denver to see my brother-in-law and his family. We wanted to bring them our very special treats that we labored so hard over. All of my nieces and nephews just love my beef jerky, in fact it was gone within an hour of our arrival. We also brought toffee, chocolate chip cookies, spiced nuts, and a chocolate cheesecake. We hope they enjoy all of their Christmas treats. They have Amelia a doctor set, which she loves. She is now a medical expert, so you can email her with any ailments and she will tell you the remedy. My 2 youngest nieces and Amelia also had a fancy tea party. They got dressed in fancy dresses and drank "tea" (read water) out of little china tea cups. Then everyone got to decorate a gingerbread tree or snowman. Amelia had a great time! Thank you Uncle Eric and Auntie Shonie!

Of course, I forgot my camera so I do not have pictures. But you can probably imagine how sweet they all looked dressed so fancy for their tea party.

Christmas

Amelia was lucky enough to get to have 3 Christmas' this year. First on Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Patty's house, then of course Christmas morning at our house and finally to Aunt Sandy's for Christmas dinner. Amelia of course loved it all. She got way too many presents, I am suprised that the toy stores in town still have an inventory. Amelia had decided to ask Santa for a sled and Hungry Hungry Hippos like 2 months ago. She has insisted that is all she wanted. I think her favorite present was from Santa. He brought several things but included was a red "sleigh" and a pink cowboy hat. Somehow in Amelia's head now, she HAS to be wearing the cowboy hat while in the sled. Of course, how silly would it be to sled without a pink cowboy hat?

Amelia the Baker

Recently, in anticipation of our Christmas baking, I bought Amelia a chef's hat and apron. She has been helping me in the kitchen and loves it, especially the stirring and pouring. So everytime she puts on her hat and apron she yells "I am Amelia the Baker!"

My Very First Blog

I have become addicted to blogging. Up until this point, I usually just read other people's blogs. I will sit at work and just search through all the blogs. I will read blogs of people I have never met or perhaps only know but association. I will even look at all the pictures if it is typed in a language that I don't know, namely anything that is not English. But now I have decided to take blogging to the next level and start my own blog. I figured this would be a fun way to keep track of everything that is happening around here. Amelia is growing so fast and is doing new things everyday. This will be a good way to track that.
